Commissioning of a United States ship involves numerous expenses, from site preparation to activities for the crew to receptions to port charges.  The Navy is limited in what it can pay for with tax dollars. One of the purposes of the USS Freedom Commissioning Committee is to raise funds for expenses that the Navy cannot pay. 

The Committee welcomes all contributions toward the expenses of the commissioning of USS Freedom.  Contributions can be made by sending a check to:

Checks should be made payable to USS Freedom Commissioning Committee, Milwaukee Council.    Your contribution will be gratefully acknowledged.                                                

The USS Freedom Commissioning Committee is affiliated with the Navy League of the United States, Milwaukee Council, a recognized non-profit organization under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.  Contributions are tax deductible as otherwise provided by law.
